Presentation Skills - Starting

Good Morning!

Today's Business English link is related to Presentation Skills:  Starting a Presentation.

Here you have a collection of different phrases you might like to use in order to get people's attention, welcome them, introduce yourself, state the purpose of your presentation and state how you want to deal with questions.

When faced with a lot of choices, the important thing to remember is to choose the phrases you like!  Don't feel obliged to learn all of them, if you don't want to.  Select the phrases that you feel suit your business area and your personal business style the best.

It is useful to be able to comprehend all the phrases (when you hear them in another person's presentation), but you only need to use the ones that feel right for you.

Toodles!

Basic Business English Terms - Part 1

Hello,

I'm trying something new:  instead of linking sites on my 'OnDemandEnglishSupport.com Facebook Page', I'm going to start linking them here.

This will make the links more assessable to all.  The links will still appear on the Facebook page, but as a page on this blog rather than a stand alone link.

To start off: Basic Business English Terms - Part 1

Here we have an online quiz for you all try.  Good luck!

Premium English Correction

“Use English like a native speaker and learn for the future”

In addition to providing all the correction provided by the Total Correction Service, this service also provides you with a detailed explanation of your mistakes & instructions to help you avoid making the same mistakes in the future.

This is an expensive service and, therefore, not for every client. However, the explanations and instructions will help you reduce your need for correction in the future.

General English Correction

“An economical solution to your English language needs"

General Correction is designed for clients with a tight budget. Although not as comprehensive as Total Correction, General Correction provides you with a detailed list of English Language Corrections based on your English.

General Correction corrects on two fronts: Grammar and Vocabulary. These corrections will be taken from the text you submit. They will use examples quoted directly from your project.

You can use these corrections to refine and improve your own English.

Total English Correction

“Use English like a native speaker"

Total Correction is my primary service and the typical choice for most clients. This service corrects every aspect of your English. It does this in two ways: Imperative Correction and Alternative Correction

Imperative Correction corrects the elements of your English you need to change. It ensures that your English is technically perfect and communicates clearly what you intend to communicate.

Alternative Correction provides you with alternative choices of words, expression & phrases that will help your English to flow more naturally. It also helps you to select the style of your English. It enables you to reflect your personality when using English.
